FASHION PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In first semester students will plan a fashion project, acting as the Project Manager to lead their team to a successful execution. In this semester students will learn and implement project management skills to plan, administer and monitor the project, managing budgets and resources and leading their team to inspire critical and creative thinking. After the project is executed students will then review the success of the project.

SEMESTER ONE
ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE FASHION PRACTICES
As part of the project planning, students will consider the social, economic and environmental impact of the fashion industry and how they can implement ethical and sustainable practices to shape the future of the industry.

SEMESTER TWO
FASHION MARKETING
In second semester students will learn how to explore and evaluate fashion marketing opportunities by analysing data, distinguishing characteristices of possible markets and assessing marketing viability.

  • BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities
FASHION COMMUNICATIONS
Students will then research, analyse and apply knowledge of the communication industry by developing communications deliverables.

FASHION COPYWRITING
For Fashion Copywriting students will gain the skills and knowledge required to interpret a creative brief enabling them to evaluate a range of innovative options to establish, prepare and finalise content.

  • BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy 
SOCIAL MEDIA
Students will plan and evaluate the use of social media through the development of a social media strategy. Students will be required to determine social media requirements, develop social media policies and procedures, monitor social media use and review social media performance.

  • SIRXMKT006 Develop a social media strategy
FASHION ECOMMERCE
Students will learn the skills to evaluate ecommerce models and strategies for use in the fashion industry. Students will design an ecommerce strategy for a fashion brand, considering marketing, buying and online sales strategies.

  • BSBTEC501 Develop and implement ecommerce strategy
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Through our internship program, we provide a pathway for students to gain hands on experience within the industry. This program paves the way for students to develop invaluable skills, which will open the doors to a fulfilling career in fashion. 
All on campus students become part of our exclusive internship program, and our careers manager tailors each program to suit individual aspirations and career goals. This close collaboration ensures placements that are relevant to each student's unique interests and talents. 
The Fashion Institute works with over 500 companies and has a reputation for consistently providing our internship partners with high calibre candidates and providing our students tailored work placement opportunities. 
GUEST SPEAKERS & EXCURSIONS
Students will also get the opportunity to attend exclusive guest speaker sessions & industry excursions. Past events have included Bec & Bridge, Edwina McCann, Sass & Bide, Pip Edwards & Elle Ferguson.
