NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING

The Institute Group is a Registered Training Organisation, providing Nationally Recognised Training, regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority.

This means students have the confidence that they will attain skills of a high quality accepted and recognised everywhere in Australia, not just the state or territory in which the training was delivered.

UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER (US)

All students enrolled in Nationally Recognised Training are required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) in order to receive their Qualification or Statement of Attainment.

 

Your USI gives you access to a password protected online record of the training you have done since obtaining a USI as reported by your training organisations. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.

 

Please provide The Institute Group with your USI on enrolment. If you need to create or locate your USI, please go to www.usi.gov.au.

 

 

LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates are required to have completed Year 10 or equivalent and be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident before enrolling at The Institute Group.

If learners feel they may have any language, literacy or numeracy problems that may inhibit normal participation in training, this must be stated on the enrolment form.

The Insitute Grouo will make reasonable adjustments to the delivery and assessment of training to enable participation and LLN support will be available to all learners throughout the duration of training and assessment.

The Institute Group offers both academic and non-academic support services to assist students throughout the duration of their studies.

At The Institute Group we acknowledge our obligation to provide personal training and support services for our students. It is important that all students have access to a range of support mechanisms.

 

We are committed to maintaining the highest level of student support to ensure you not only complete your studies but also benefit from the highest psossible increase in your skil level whilst trainign with us.

STUDENT RESOURCES

 

At the commencement of each semester, students will receive all training support resources including unit learner guides, workbooks, assessment outlines and assessment tools.

 

Learners must have access to a laptop with Windows or Mac OS X operating system, Microsoft Office and a supported internet browser with reliable internet connection.

STUDENT ASSESSMENT

 

The training and assessment of our qualifications are a combination of theoretical and practical skills and knowledge application. Assessment is designed to support formative and summative learning:

 

Formative assessment includes learned workbook activities and practical skills tasks designed to support newly acquired knowledge and skill.

 

Summative assessment is reflected in 2 major projects designed to include the performance, skill and knowledge developed in each unit. This is applied in a holistic manner to reflect industry practice and build industry tools such as a portfolio's of work and intended to support the professional practice and continuing vocational success of each learner.

RPL & CREDIT TRANSFER

The Institute Group recognises and acknowledges qualifications and Statement of Attainments issued by another registered training organisation based in any state of Australia.

 

Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for this program.  Application for recognition is considered on an individual basis. Please note that no more than four elective units previously achieved can be counted towards this qualification.

 

If you hold a qualification of Statement of Attainment with equivalent units issued by another RTO you can apply for National Recognition.

 

Please indicate if you would like to be considered for Recognition of Prior Learning or Credit Transfer for any or all units of the qualification at the point of enquiry.

TMI HAIR, MAKEUP & SPFX KIT

The Makeup Institute is dedicated to providing the most industry relevant product, tools and equipment. 

At the commencement of the course, each learner will be required to purchase a complete TMI Professional Hair, Makeup & SPFX Kit

The Makeup Institute will provide disposables (tissues, cotton buds etc.), cleansers, hair styling products, hair styling tools, mixing palettes, paint and colouring pencils as required for scheduled learning activities and practical make-up application and hair styling lessons for our mak. From time-to-time The Makeup Institute will provide specialist hair and make-up products and equipment for specialist make-up demonstrations and activities.
